The Real Engineering Problem
Even dosing, every dropper.
A tincture only works as a precise-dosing product if the cannabinoids are actually distributed evenly through the oil. Get that wrong and the first dropper from a bottle can test differently than the last one, even though the label says the same number the whole way through. That’s not a labeling problem, it’s a homogenization problem, and it’s the single biggest thing that separates a tincture that holds up under testing from one that doesn’t. We build for consistency dropper to dropper, not just bottle to bottle.
Why the Bottle Color Isn’t Just Branding
Amber isn’t just a look.
THC degrades to CBN through light and oxygen exposure, the same tincture in clear glass on a shelf loses real potency faster than one in amber. Amber glass isn’t just a look, it’s a real stability choice, and one reason it’s the most common tincture bottle color in the category. We offer clear, white, blue, amber, and black. If you want clear for branding reasons, that’s your call to make, just going in with the tradeoff understood.

Carrier Oils
Six real carriers, not a hypothetical menu.
MCT/coconut oil is the most common choice in this category for a real reason: fast absorption, neutral flavor, and genuinely shelf-stable. We also offer olive oil, hemp seed oil, avocado oil, grapeseed oil, and sunflower oil, real market range, not a hypothetical menu.
Water-soluble (nano-emulsified) is also a real, separate format, not just oil with extra steps. It mixes cleanly into drinks rather than sitting on top, and it’s a genuine, in-market option worth considering as its own base choice, not something to fold into “oil.”

Ratio & Blend Formats
Not locked to THC-only.
Not fixed to THC-only. Real options: THC-only, CBD-only, balanced ratio blends (THC:CBD, built to the milligram, not just a rough split), and effect-targeted blends (THC:CBN for sleep, THC:CBG for focus). Terpene or essential-oil flavor add-ins are also available if you want a specific flavor profile beyond the carrier oil itself.

Child-resistant AND tamper-evident on every option, no exceptions
Carrier and ratio are the two choices that actually change the product. MCT/coconut oil is the category default: fast absorption, neutral flavor, genuinely shelf-stable. Water-soluble (nano-emulsified) is a real, separate format, not oil with extra steps, it mixes cleanly into drinks instead of sitting on top. Ratio isn’t locked to THC-only either: balanced and effect-targeted blends are built to the milligram, not a rough split.
Bottle color is a stability choice, not just branding. THC degrades to CBN faster under light and oxygen exposure, which is why amber is the most common color in this category. Clear is available if you want it for branding, just going in with that tradeoff understood.

Lead time follows the same supply-dependent logic as every other line: the more you supply, the faster it goes. Fastest orders run about 4 weeks, longest about 8 weeks, depending on what you supply versus what Gotham sources.

Labels & Packaging
Same system, every line.
Same print-and-apply system as every other line we run. Since lab results take 7 to 12 days, most brands print their primary label rather than wait, two weeks is a real cost. Your brand design goes on the primary label; the batch-specific numbers, THC%, CBD%, TAC%, lot number, manufacture and expiration dates, solvents used, plus the mandatory METRC RUID, go on a separate print-and-apply label we handle in-house the day results land. Supplying your own fully print-ready, OCM Part 128 compliant labels works too.

Verify Before You Sign
Verifying Any Manufacturer in This Category
A real problem in this category: people quoting fill capacity they don’t have, or citing a license that isn’t theirs. Check three things before signing with anyone.
- The actual license number. Ours: Tier 2 Processor OCM-PROC-24-000200 and Distributor OCM-DIST-25-000134, both verifiable on the state’s cannabis dashboard.
- The facility address behind that license. Ours: 55 Corbin Avenue, Bay Shore, NY.
- Whether they can produce a real METRC registration for the batch, not a promise one exists.
Looking for a CBD Manufacturer?
Not selling THC? Just need CBD? We can do that too: same production lines, same specs, no cannabis license required to buy or sell.
Tincture Manufacturing FAQ
How do you make sure every dropper delivers the same dose?
Homogenization during fill, so cannabinoids are distributed evenly through the batch. The first dropper from a bottle should test the same as the last one, that’s the actual engineering target, not just an accurate label.
Does bottle color actually matter, or is it just branding?
Both, but the stability part is real. THC degrades to CBN faster under light exposure, which is why amber is the most common choice in this category. Clear is available if you want it for branding, just going in with that tradeoff understood.
What’s the difference between oil-based and water-soluble tinctures?
Oil-based (MCT, olive, hemp seed, and similar carriers) is the traditional format. Water-soluble is nano-emulsified so it mixes cleanly into drinks instead of sitting on top, a genuinely different format, not just oil with extra steps.
Can you build a specific ratio, like a sleep or focus blend?
Yes. Effect-targeted ratios (THC:CBN for sleep, THC:CBG for focus) and balanced THC:CBD blends are both real, built to the milligram, not a rough split.
What’s your MOQ for tinctures?
2,500 units.
